We eliminate all the training and test pressure by handling everything for you, from booking your training sessions to taking you to the Mod 1 test.
We do everything for you except take the test. We have office staff available to take care of your admin and training bookings, who arrange and book your test for you which allows you to focus entirely on the task in hand.
All you need to do is learn how to handle the motorcycle properly, develop your skills safely and learn to master the Mod 1 test manoeuvres.
Our unique training includes weekend sessions at the actual test centre, which ensures you’re familiar and comfortable with it, the layout and the full test procedure. This is why our first time pass rate is around 90%.
This is for any rider who wants to remove their L Plates. The Mod 1 test is the first step in the DVSA testing process.
You’ll need a CBT certificate and a Theory Test pass certificate before you can book a Mod 1 test. These are just stepping stones in the process of achieving a full motorcycle licence.

We use radios in the test centre to give you guidance, reassurance and advice.

We believe test days are for focus, not training. You’ll arrive at our office, where the instructor will check your documents and take you for a warm up ride prior to your test.
This includes various slow control exercises en-route to the test centre. This process will reacquaint you with the bike and allows you to practise some of the higher speed exercises before the actual test.
On test day, expect to spend 3-4 hours with us, including pre-test preparation and the test itself.

The test is conducted at the Motorcycle Manoeuvring Area (MMA) in Garretts Green, Birmingham. There are other centres, but this is our preferred location.
The Mod 1 Test is an off-road assessment of your ability where you’ll be asked to complete a series of basic manoeuvres.
There are a set amount of key exercises that are conducted during the test. Our training plan is vigorous and leaves no stones left unturned.
Our training programme sets us apart because we are one of the only training schools to use the actual test centre to practise your skills. This is a unique offer and why our pass rate is so high.
Use of a training app to develop your knowledge between training sessions. This is bespoke online learning with a training plan and detailed reports straight to your phone.
We have a purpose built training facility with state of the art learning material.
Approximately 20 minutes, focusing on various manoeuvres.
The cost of the test is £15.50. The extra charge we make is for the instructor and training, the bike hire, insurance and for at least 3 hours duration to take you to the test centre on the day.
The training fee is a daily rate, this ensures you get the training you need, rather than booking an off the shelf course that may not be right for you.
The Mod 1 test centre that we regularly use is at the MPTC in Garretts Green, Birmingham.
There are others and if required we will travel to them for a test.
You will arrive at our training premises on test day and we will take you to the test centre riding our motorcycle, where you have the opportunity to do some training on specific exercises.
We highly recommend this approach as you become familiar with the motorcycle again prior to the test.
