Description
‘Let your riding do the talking…’ Motorcycle Tour Europe
Simon Hayes was born in Birmingham, England and joined the British Army at the age of 16. He served in the Royal Corps of Transport (RCT ) around the world. He gained numerous qualifications until he left the army in 1996. Motorcycle Tour Europe was an ambition.
After leaving the forces, Simon started his own business, RMT Motorcycle Training. Which teaches riders from learner level to advanced training in the UK and abroad. He is also a partner in two other businesses, VideoBiker Ltd and Motorcycle Instructor Training Centre, both of which are online motorcycle training resources.
Simon has written extensively for motorcycle magazines and publications, did all the content for his website and for the VideoBiker online training resource and has a few other books in progress. He is also the author of 20 Countries in 20 Days. It details a ride he undertook from England to Istanbul with two army friends.
Simon is something of a workaholic but when he has spare time he enjoys playing golf, swimming and cycling to keep in shape. He loves nothing better than touring on his motorcycle and has recently started off road riding in preparation for a tour to Moscow.
In the future, Simon hopes to continue to run his successful motorcycle training school. Also to move VideoBiker to a nationwide platform, while promoting road safety and mentoring others. He is constantly updating his skills and will continue to organise charity rides that raise money for cancer charities.
He also has plans for more books in the future, that will help learner riders to be safe and confident on the roads. In addition to this he has a passion to have an online coaching platform. It helps riders improve their knowledge and skills to become better riders. A Motorcycle Tour Europe is food for the sole!

I brought this book as I love travel as something to read during lockdown. It made me miss travelling even more lol. The book gives you a great insight into the countries you’ve been through and the acts of kindness from locals such as the lovely lady showing you the hospital and giving you tips for Bulgaria. It’s been great to read about you and your friends adventure on your bikes and love the fact/tip of booking hotels on the day otherwise you’ll be under pressure to make it on time. Must be very exciting not knowing where your going to stop over
Really enjoyed the whole read and have actually booked and planned our own road trip (with the kids) to the continent next year. Thanks for the inspiration in the current climate – Alex

What a lovely review, thank you.
I am so glad you are going to do a road trip with the family after reading my book. That is the best recommendation I could hope for.
Have a great trip when this COVID-19 pandemic is over.
Best wishes
Simon
